American Airlines Introduces Built-In Toilet Seats

FORTWORTH, TX—On November 27 American Airlines announced a roll out of built-in toilet seats to be installed on their fleet of Boeing 787’s for Coach,  Business, and First-Class passengers.

After receiving passenger feedback about the lack of facilities and lines building around restrooms blocking flight attendants American set out to find a solution.

Each seat will now work as a fully functioning toilet and will allow passengers to remain seated during a long cross country flight without having to get up to relieve themselves. While this unprecedented convenience seems very generous analysts in the industry noted the $4.99 toilet paper fee and the $19.99 plungers may signal this was ultimately a revenue generating move from American who now hopes to profit from the bowel movements of many Americans.
